The external envelope is constructed in a steel and timber frame comprising brick/block cavity external walls faced with render, facing brick or timber lined cladding finish with glazed curtain walling, composite external doors, windows, timber framed standing seam roof and pre-cast concrete floors. Internal works comprised timber stud partitions; contractor designed underfloor heating; glazed timber screens and bespoke finishes including bathroom design (walk-in) suitable for wheelchair access, specialist access equipment i.e. hoists, and specialist furniture to accommodate and satisfy the employers’ requirements; all associated services including sprinklers, BMS system, PV panels, fire alarms, communications/security control systems, warden call system, CCTV and lift installation.
As well as the apartments and communal facilities the extra care housing also includes patio and seating within a courtyard area incorporating plant beds, grassed areas, trees and shrubs.
