This project forms part of the Aberdeen City Councils’ New Build Housing Programme to create inspirational 21st century family housing which is of high quality, economic, sustainable, energy efficient and incorporating a degree of flexibility to meet the future needs of tenants. This development also forms part of the regeneration of the Middlefield Area in Aberdeen and provides much needed accommodation to strengthen community spirit and enhance neighbourhood identities.
The development comprises the construction of 80 no. new build homes of a mixture of flats and houses with residential streets where space is shared between pedestrians and vehicles, comprising concrete piling; vibro compacted and trenchfill foundations; concrete block superstructure with concrete floor slab to flats; timber framed structure to houses; timber truss roofs; reinforced concrete retaining walls.
