National De-commissioning Centre

Structural alteration and refurbishment works to existing storage area with cold rooms and laboratory on the ground floor of the National Decommissioning Centre in Newburgh.

The existing space has been completely re-modelled and altered to provide two large open areas to accommodate a dome simulator and support area spaces.

Complex structural alterations required the installation of significant temporary works to support the upper floor precast floor slabs and an office and plant room area and facilitate the installation of permanent structural steelwork thereafter.

A specialist contractor was employed by the Client for the installation of the simulator.
