Apprentices

Bancon Construction has a proud tradition of employing apprentices in traditional crafts i.e. Joinery, Bricklaying, Electrical and Plumbing. This not only benefits our company, it benefits the industry as a whole. Our industry needs skilled trades men and women coming through the indentured apprenticeship route on an annual basis to ensure there are no skill shortages in the future.

Apprenticeships are an important part of our outreach work with schools and colleges, helping to ensure that industry standard training runs alongside practical work experience and on-the-job learning from skilled crafts people.

The ultimate aim of Bancon is to ensure that all apprentices gain the appropriate qualification which will meet the eligibility criteria for registration with the relevant Craft Registration Scheme; Scottish Building Apprenticeship and Training Council (SBATC), SNIPEF or SELECT.

We strive to ensure that all apprentices are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the challenges that face the organisation now and in the future.

Our apprentice intake is generally annually, with interviews taking place in the month of April.

We regularly work with Shared Apprentice who provide a flexible approach to apprentices, helping businesses in the construction industry across Angus and Dundee.  To find out more about Shared Apprentice click on the link below.
