Scope of Work
The works comprise the construction of 536 plots together with 3 retail units and a community hall, a 3G sports pitch and space for a changing room, allocated space for a Men’s Shed and allotments, and all associated roads, footpaths, street lighting and street furniture. The new housing is 100% affordable, will be delivered in phases, with a mix of two-storey terrace, semi-detached houses, cottage flats and three-storey apartment blocks.

All new homes are designed to meet the Gold Level of Sustainability under current Building Regulations, 81 no. properties are designed in accordance with Housing for Varying Needs, ‘General’ and ‘Wheelchair’ adaptable needs, including dementia friendly homes.
As part of this project, Bancon Construction ltd (BCL) has committed to delivering community benefits which are aligned to the principles of sustainability and to working with Aberdeen City council and partner organisations to ensure these benefits are maximised. BCL and our supply chain are based in the North East and it is our aim to ensure that it is the local communities that benefit from the positive social, economic and environmental outcomes of the community benefit programme.
